An amazing view, wherever you look at

This is for sure on of the most popular places to visit in Santiago surroundings. El Yeso reservoir is an impressive human-made lake located in Andes Mountain Range heart. Its interest lies on its waters color and the contrast created by the surreoundings, where high summits hide valleys crafted by millennail glaciers.

Itinerary

Due the location of the reservoir, we’ll pick you up early in the morning; about 6:30am we’ll be knocking your door. After getting all the adventurers, we will go towards Cajón del Maipo, while the team introduces itself, along giving some relevant information about weather conditions, timing, safety, etc.

After two hours travelling, we’ll approach to our first stop: El Yeso reservoir. With several important summits around and turquoise colored waters, we’ll be have about 30 minutes to enjoy our mid-morning snack while we take photos and pictures of the area. Later we’ll go back to the van, to continue our way to Los Patos Lagoon.

The point where we begin the hike is special. High mountains, some glaciers and valleys are the protagonists deep down in Andes, known as one of the biggest mountain ranges in the world. Los Patos Lagoon is 1.5 away, hidden from people and feeding life around it. Once there, we’ll have about one hour to enjoy the place, have some rest and try the tasty chilean lunch our guides will cook there. Alongside the road guides will give information about flora, fauna and geological processes.

After that hour of chilling and enjoying the spot, we’lll begin our way back to the van, that will take us back to Santiago, after this special day in Andes Mountain Range.
